SAMCAR Affiliate Membership

If you are a professional that provides products and services relevant to the Real Estate industry, we invite you to join the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® (SAMCAR) as an Affiliate member. Some of the categories that Affiliate members represent are Appraisers, Architects, Attorneys, Builders & Contractors, Educational Instructors, Financial Services, Furniture Rental, Home Inspection, Home Warranty, Insurance, Landscaping, Lenders, Property Management, Movers, Reports, Staging, Storage, Termite Inspection and Title Companies.

The Value of SAMCAR Affiliate Membership

The Value of your SAMCAR membership is achieved through professional resources, representation, relationships and responsibility.

Resources
SAMCAR provides valuable resources such as: Insurance Programs through the Benefits Store or by joining the California Association of realtors®. Listing of your business in our online and printed Membership Directory. Live classes, webinars and education on current topics, technology, marketing and more. Publication opportunities with educational articles in the weekly SAMCAR Relay e-mail, sent out to all members. Member rates on advertising in the weekly Tour Sheet publication. The Association Web site www.samcar.org is a comprehensive resource of community and real estate information as well as the most current member directory.

Representation
Government Affairs represents our members through legislative advocacy at the local, state and national level, and protects members from ordinances, rules and regulations that would be a hindrance to the success of their businesses. Government Affairs also works to advance one of SAMCAR’s primary objectives: the preservation of private property rights throughout San Mateo County.

Government Affairs also assists with member mobilization for state and federal issues that are of importance to the real estate industry.

Relationships
Members build industry relationships through multiple forums, including business contacts through networking at weekly marketing meetings and events, opportunity to serve on several SAMCAR committees, and representation by an elected Affiliate member on the SAMCAR Board of Directors.

Responsibilty
Affiliate members are upheld to standards of professional conduct. Members are also encouraged to be involved in the larger community through charity and volunteer work. Affiliates are recognized for their efforts and service to the association, profession and community through the annual Affiliate-of-the-Year Award.

Market Your Business at the SAMCAR Affiliate Trade Expo on June 4

In conjunction with the Combined Tour Meeting* featuring a keynote by Leslie Appleton-Young** SAMCAR will be holding our first Affiliate Trade Expo on Tuesday, June 4 at the Elks Lodge. Participation in the Expo includes either a full or half table display and sponsorship of the breakfast. Receive exposure to over 150 attendees as well as acknowledgment on our Web site and Relay. $100 / full table or $50 / half table

**Appleton-Young is Vice President and Chief Economist for the California Association of REALTORS® and a sought after speaker. Appleton-Young directs the activities of the Association’s Member Information Group. She oversees the analysis of housing market and brokerage industry trends, member communications, and membership development activities.
