Veinticinco de Mayo Celebration

SAMCAR's Cultural Diversity Committee and SAMCAR's Board Directors celebrated their own version of Cinco de Mayo - a Veinticinco de Mayo get-together on May 25, of course, at the home of Jennifer Tasto in Atherton. Ethnic food and drink were enjoyed by all.

The Cultural Diversity Committee meets at SAMCAR at 2 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. This year's chair is Patricia Lindo, who is also president of NAHREP - National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.The group plans to continue to host events which will enlighten membership on how to deal with clients and Realtors from different culture and ethnic backgrounds.

The San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® (SAMCAR) is a professional trade organization representing over 3,800 REALTORS® and Affiliate members engaged in the real estate business on the Peninsula. SAMCAR promotes the highest ethical standards of real estate practice, serves as an advocate for homeownership and homeowners, and represents the interests of property owners in San Mateo County.

The term "REALTOR®" is a registered collective membership mark which identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and who subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.
