San Mateo, CA - Realtors and affiliates with the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® are once again embarking on the annual Realtor Service Volunteer Program (RSVP), which provides seniors and homebound residents in San Mateo County free assistance with household tasks which they cannot perform due to physical or financial constraints. RSVP week is set for May 5-9. The deadline for seniors to request assistance is Saturday, March 15.

San Mateo, CA - During 2007, the San Mateo County REALTORS® Foundation donated $124,886 to different non-profit organizations that help homeless, low-income individuals and families in San Mateo County. In addition, the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® (SAMCAR) gave $20,000 to corporate sponsors HIP Housing, Samaritan House and CORA.

The National Association of Realtors® has urged President George W. Bush and Congress to help homeowners and the national economy by loosening constraints on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as an integral part of a federal stimulus package being considered to revive the economy.

San Mateo, CA – Coastside Realtors and affiliates with the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® (SAMCAR) made the holiday season brighter for homeless, low income and working poor individuals and families. They successfully raised a total of $7,646 for Coastside Hope at their annual holiday breakfast and auction held Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Harbor House in Half Moon Bay.

San Mateo, CA - The San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® (SAMCAR) installed its leadership team for 2008 at a gala held at the Hyatt SFO in Burlingame on Wednesday evening, Dec. 12. California Association of REALTORS® 2008 President Bill Brown administered the oath of office to SAMCAR’s 2008 board of directors and president.

The summit brought together Bay Area real estate practitioners, government officials and service providers in an educational conference format focused on dissemination of information, demographic trends, financial reforms and business practices which affect the fast growing multicultural real estate communities in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara.
