Your 2012 REALTOR® Dues Billing Explained
We'd like to explain the intricacies of your bill. The only mandatory dues are your local, state and national association membership dues. Please note that SAMCAR has never increased your local dues. There are several voluntary items noted on your bill. While we encourage members to make their contribution to the REALTOR® Action Fund in particular, each of these items is voluntary and can be “un-checked” when paying online.
Below is an explanation of these voluntary items:

Please consider making your $49 contribution which supports the legislative work we do on your behalf.

SAMCAR Foundation
The SAMCAR Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to assisting individuals within our community in enhancing their quality of life through financial programs, education, and housing-related initiatives and activities. Your contribution to this charity is tax deductible and will be used to fund charitable programs and our quarterly grants.
HAF
The C.A.R. Housing Affordability Fund is used to fund programs that help first time home buyers.
Capitol Reception
On your dues statement the amount of $148 is noted as Capitol Reception.
True Cost of Doing Business
This represents the contribution from each member that is needed to do legislative work on your behalf.

To log in to pay your Association dues you will need your NAR ID (NRDS number) and the last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN). Your NAR ID can be found on the cover of your REALTOR® magazine or on your NAR membership card.
