Association members are invited to nominate a REALTOR® member they feel best meets the following criteria:
Must be a SAMCAR member in good standing.
Outstanding commitment and dedication to the advancement and success of the Association through attendance at meetings, service on committees either as a member of the committee or its chairman. A model for others as to the knowledge of our profession and personal contributions of ideas, time and effort to the Association.
Conduct real estate business and practices, in the judgment of his/her colleagues, in a more ethical manner and at all times presenting his/herself in the true spirit of the professional image.
Promotion and protection of the interest of the public and the real estate brokers in the handling of real and personal property transactions.
Promotion of the enactment of proper legislation for the protection of property rights in the interest of our profession, always conscious of fiduciary responsibility to clients.
Promotion of good fellowship and fair dealings.
Promotion of the concept of "SERVICE" to the public, to clients, to the community, and to the Association.
Has Not Been the recipient of the Realtor of the Year Award in the past.
Current SAMCAR Directors are not eligible for the Realtor of the Year Award.

The Affiliate representative must be a member in good standing.
Outstanding commitment and dedication to the advancement and success of the Association through attendance at meetings and Association events, service on committees and personal contribution of ideas, time and effort to the Association.
Promotion of the concept of "SERVICE" to the public, clients, to the community and to the Association.
Promotion and protection of the interest of the public and real estate brokers in the handling of real and personal property transactions.
Promotion of good fellowship and fair dealings.
Has not been the recipient of the Affiliate of the Year award in the past 3 years.
There are REALTORS® in San Mateo County who go the extra mile in giving back to the communities in which they do business.

Outstanding commitment and dedication to giving back to the community outside of the real estate profession.
A model for others by volunteering their time, donations and involving others to commit themselves in the same way.
Improves the quality of life of those in their community by their actions.
Promotion of the concept of "Service" to the public, to clients, to the community and to the Association
Has not been the recipient of the Community Service award in the past 3 years.
REALTOR®-of-the-Year, Affiliate-of-the-Year and the Community Service Award recipients will be selected by members of the Leadership Development Committee and approved by the members of the Board of Directors. Awards will be presented at the SAMCAR Installation ceremony.
