Advocating for Private Property Rights
- Our Government Affairs staff constantly monitors local city council actions as well as state and federal legislation in order to protect homeowners from ordinances, rules and regulations that could infringe on your private property rights. Local SAMCAR victories for private property rights include advocating against onerous point of sale ordinances for sewer lateral repairs in many peninsula cities. www.samcar.org/GovernmentAffairs
REALTORS® Giving Back to our Communities
- Every quarter our charitable foundation makes grants available to organizations in San Mateo County doing work to improve housing affordability and quality of life in our communities. SAMCAR members also visit the homes of local senior citizens every spring for REATOR® Service Volunteer Program (RSVP) week, to offer free home services like changing light bulbs and flipping mattresses so San Mateo County seniors can age in place. www.samcarfoundation.org
Holding REALTORS® To the Highest Ethical Standards
