When housing inventory is low and listings are high-end, the issue of pocket listings comes up.While an agent and broker may legally choose to not publish a listing on the MLS IF they obtain a waiver from the seller, without the waiver, they are subject to a rule violations and complaints filed against them with the MLS. C.A.R. has determined that stronger and more aggressive enforcement of current rules are a better solution than a legislative "fix" that could possible lead to a slippery slope of having the Legislature determine how the sales of properties are listed.

You may have noticed that over the course of 2014 SAMCAR's branded look has undergone a bit of an update. And, in June 2014, we officially launched a brand new website. We're proud of the process we used to execute a complete visual re-branding while simultaneously re-designing the Association Website, so we wanted to take a chance to explain how we got to where we are at today and where we'll continue to go.
