The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) has developed an office exclusive listing/pre-marketing guidance resource for brokers and their agents. This is designed to support the use of MLSs as pro-competitive, pro-consumer platforms by helping to ensure consistent compliance with MLS policies.

Chicago (April 10, 2026) – The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) today announced a settlement agreement that would resolve claims brought by homebuyers in the case of Tuccori et al. v. At World Properties et al., a class-action antitrust lawsuit related to buyer-agent commissions. In connection with this agreement, and given the substantially similar allegations, NAR will seek a stay in Batton et al. v. National Association of REALTORS® et al., since NAR's settlement in Tuccori is intended to release the claims in the Batton case.

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, President Trump shared via a Truth Social post that his administration is "taking steps to ban large institutional investors from buying more single-family homes" and "will be calling on Congress to codify it". The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) to issued a statement from Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy Officer Shannon McGahn, sharing that NAR "is encouraged that the administration and members of Congress are focused on addressing the nation's housing affordability and supply crises. We share the goal of ensuring there are enough places for people to live and of expanding access to homeownership—especially for first-time buyers—and ensuring that housing policy strengthens communities rather than limiting opportunity." To help empower members to act consistently with the settlement, NAR has developed two new resources that provide clarity on what is—and is not—permissible under the proposed settlement. These resources help to define the responsibilities and limitations for real estate agents by outlining the "dos" and "don'ts" of supporting homebuyers and home sellers during the transaction process.
