Field Guide for TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures (TRID)

New Forms Could Impact Closings
The introduction of the Loan Estimate and the Closing Disclosure forms is right around the corner. The new forms are designed to aid the consumer in comparison shopping, improve consumer understanding and prevent surprises at the closing table, but it's possible that the new forms may initially create delays in closing.
Bill Introduced to Rectify 3% Inequities
HR 685 "The Mortgage Choice Act" will make two adjustments to the Truth in Lending Act's (TILA) definition of "points and fees" to ensure greater consumer choice in mortgage and settlement services.
