The Young Professionals Network of the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS, SAMCAR YPN, invites you to join a monthly mastermind group featuring informative speakers and panels, and an opportunity to connect with your colleagues and discuss the topics that matter most to you and your business. Join us on the second Thursday of each month at 10 AM on Zoom.

On Thursday, October 17, SAMCAR members gathered at Devils Canyon Brewing in San Carlos for the final 2019 quarterly Speaker Series for presentations on hot topics including ADUs, first time homebuyer programs, fire insurance, title insurance and cannabis, and rent control followed by conversations with each presenter.

On Thursday, July 18, SAMCAR's second quarterly membership meeting was held at Long Branch Farms in Half Moon Bay featuring real estate industry update presentations from 2020 NAR President, Vince Malta, and California DRE Auditor Cecilia Yan, along with welcoming remarks from Long Branch Farms owner, and SAMCAR Affiliate member, Kevin Palmer, an update from refreshments sponsor MLSListings, Inc., and closing remarks from candidate for 2021 C.A.R. On Wednesday, April 17, SAMCAR initiated our new quarterly "Speaker Series" with a legal update from C.A.R. Associate Counsel, Jana Gardner, covering details of the recent California "Real Estate Clean Up Law" package, landlord/tenant law changes, new forms and reminders about a REALTOR member benefit: C.A.R.'s legal hotline. On Wednesday, August 16, SAMCAR Brokers and Managers were invited to expand their understanding of cyber security with John Wondolowski, Chief Technology Officer from CMI, who explained best practices and provided a list of "to-do's" for brokers and agents to follow to protect their personal and professional data as a lead-up to REALTOR Safety Month in September.

The C.A.R. Education Foundation works in conjunction with the C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation, which provides scholarships to students pursuing real estate-related degrees at California colleges and universities.
