On Wednesday, April 17, SAMCAR initiated our new quarterly "Speaker Series" with a legal update from C.A.R. Associate Counsel, Jana Gardner, covering details of the recent California "Real Estate Clean Up Law" package, landlord/tenant law changes, new forms and reminders about a REALTOR® member benefit: C.A.R.'s legal hotline.

About Jana Gardner

Jana Gardner is an Associate Counsel with the California Association of REALTORS®. Since joining C.A.R. in 2014, she has primarily focused on advising members through the legal "Hotline" and preparing legal resources such as the Legal Q&A's and Quick Guides. Additionally, Jana presents outreaches to members on legal topics and presents the monthly "Legal Tools Talk" on C.A.R.'s Facebook page, as well as teaching education classes. Prior to joining C.A.R she practiced commercial real estate law focusing on the acquisition, financing, and leasing of commercial properties. Jana received her Bachelor's degree in Social Science from San Diego State University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California.

New Supra eKEY Features for SAMCAR Keyholders!

Starting June 4, 2026 SAMCAR will be providing our Supra keyholders with next-level eKEY app service as an upgrade included with your annual key service. Your key will automatically update to the new service level—Supra eKEY Professional. No additional action is required of you. Just start using the new Supra eKEY Pro App. Keyholders will also be able to control who and when can gain property access, such as plumbers, contractors, etc. with Single Access.
