In April the MLSListings Board of Directors voted to amend the MLS rules section for the type of lockboxes allowable in the MLS service area: Effective immediately, the Supra BT LE is the required type, if any lockbox is used to provide showing access for agents. MLSListings has informed SAMCAR that many members are using the word "staged" in public remarks. The use of the word "staged" indicates that the listing is vacant. Public remarks are visible to anyone viewing the public listing information, including potential thieves. There have been recent reports of items from staged listings being stolen, including large appliances, such as refrigerators. It is not an MLS violation to use the word "staged", but you are encouraged to exercise caution when announcing a listing as "staged" in public remarks.

MLS has heard you, and now you have the choice to use Modern Mode — a new, cleaner look for the Pro website with the same exact button layout and functionality as the original ("Classic Mode"), but with a more contemporary design.

MLSListings just introduced a set of email notifications designed to keep listing agents one step ahead by automatically alerting them when something is about to happen to their listing, such as an upcoming expiration date, status change, etc. Email notifications will be implemented automatically; no subscriber action is required to initiate them.

If you're entering property listings twice in both MLSListings and East Bay MLSs thinking this duplication will maximize your coverage, think again. There's a better, faster way. MLSListings recently improved its Multi-Class listings process. In the past, if you wanted to list a property under more than one classification or type, you would need to have the MLSListings support center manually do it for you at a charge of $50. In March, the MLSListings Board of Directors adopted new NAR / C.A.R. mandatory MLS rule changes which affect brokers and agents.

In response to subscriber feedback, MLSListings changed the timeouts (i.e., the period of time in a session after which a user is automatically logged out) on their system from 60 minutes to 8 hours for Pro and Matrix and 2 hours for Paragon.
