Meet the newest members of the SAMCAR Board of Directors who will begin their three-year term on January 1, 2027: Jim Enes and Jean Joh.

The 2026 President of the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® (SAMCAR), Linda Crose-Andersen, and Board of Directors were ceremonially sworn into their term by Installation Officer, 2026 California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) President Tamara Suminski, at SAMCAR's 2026 Installation on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Oceano Hotel in Half Moon Bay. Also honored were SAMCAR's Past Presidents, Outgoing Directors and Committee Chairs, and award winners for 2025 REALTOR® of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, Community Service, and Homeowner Hero Awards.

The 2025 President of the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® (SAMCAR), Frank Vella, and Board of Directors were officially sworn into their term by Installation Officer, San Mateo County Supervisor Ray Mueller, at SAMCAR's 2025 Installation ceremony on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Oceano Hotel in Half Moon Bay. Also honored were SAMCAR's Past Presidents, Outgoing Directors and Committee Chairs, and award winners for 2024 REALTOR® of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, Community Service, Rising Star, Homeowner Hero and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

The 2024 President of the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS® (SAMCAR), Moisés Pelayo, and the Board of Directors were officially sworn into their term by Installation Officer and Past President, Jesse Gutierrez, at SAMCAR's 2024 Installation ceremony on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Domenico Winery in San Carlos. Also honored were SAMCAR's Past Presidents, Outgoing Directors and Committee Chairs, and award winners for 2023 REALTOR® of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, Community Service, and Homeowner Hero Awards, as well as a special posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award to Michael Monozon.

2023 SAMCAR President Marla Perego and the Board of Directors were officially sworn into their term by special guest Installation Officer, San Mateo County Supervisor David J. Canepa, at SAMCAR's 2023 Installation ceremony on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Domenico Winery in San Carlos. Also honored were SAMCAR's Past Presidents, Outgoing Directors and Committee Chairs, and award winners for 2022 REALTOR® of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, Community Service, and Homeowner Hero Awards.

On Thursday, December 15, SAMCAR Board of Directors and Staff gathered at Stamp Bar & Grill in San Carlos for a holiday luncheon where the three most recent Region 25 chairs -- Jesse Gutierrez (2020), Elmer Martinez (2021), David Zigal (2022) -- were recognized for their service to the Association.

2022 SAMCAR President Jessica Eva and the Board of Directors were officially sworn into their term by special guest Installation Officer and National Association of REALTORS® Past President, Vince Malta, at SAMCAR's 2022 Installation ceremony on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Grand Bay Hotel in Redwood City. Also honored were SAMCAR's Past Presidents, Outgoing Directors and Committee Chairs, and award winners for 2021 REALTOR® of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, and Community Service Awards.

On Thursday, October 21, SAMCAR Past Presidents Elmer G. Martinez (2020) and Jesse D. Gutierrez (2019) received California State Resolutions from California Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore Kevin Mullin, Assemblymember Marc Berman and Senator Josh Becker. The resolutions were presented by Elmer Martinez Jr. at Green Hills Country Club at a special limited capacity ceremony. Also presented at the Speaker Series were C.A.R. Director Reports from the Fall 2021 Business Meetings from C.A.R. Directors Jesse Gutierez, Nestor Icaza, Elmer Martinez, and Michael Verdone, as well as an address from San Mateo County Sheriff Carlos Bolanos, with Master of Ceremonies and 2021 SAMCAR President David Zigal. On Friday, March 5, 2021, SAMCAR held its first virtual Annual Meeting on Zoom, with master of ceremonies 2021 President David Zigal. At the meeting, SAMCAR honored Outgoing Directors and Committee Chairs, and recipients of C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life and NAR REALTOR® Emeritus status, announced award winners for 2020 REALTOR® of the Year, 2020 Affiliate of the Year, and 2020 Community Service awards, as well as introduced the 2021 Board of Directors and Committee Chairs and acknowledged annual Corporate Sponsors for their ongoing support. 2020 SAMCAR President Elmer G. Martinez and the Board of Directors were officially sworn in to their term by special guest Installation Officer, Supervisor David J. Canepa, at SAMCAR's 2020 Installation dinner and ceremony on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Pullman Hotel in Redwood City. Also honored were SAMCAR's Past Presidents, Outgoing Directors and Committee Chairs, and award winners for 2019 REALTOR® of the Year, 2019 Affiliate of the Year, and Homeowner Hero Awards.

On Thursday, October 17, SAMCAR members gathered at Devils Canyon Brewing in San Carlos for the final 2019 quarterly Speaker Series for presentations on hot topics including ADUs, first time homebuyer programs, fire insurance, title insurance and cannabis, and rent control followed by conversations with each presenter.

On Thursday, July 18, SAMCAR's second quarterly membership meeting was held at Long Branch Farms in Half Moon Bay featuring real estate industry update presentations from 2020 NAR President, Vince Malta, and California DRE Auditor Cecilia Yan, along with welcoming remarks from Long Branch Farms owner, and SAMCAR Affiliate member, Kevin Palmer, an update from refreshments sponsor MLSListings, Inc., and closing remarks from candidate for 2021 C.A.R. 2019 SAMCAR President Jesse D. Gutierrez and the Board of Directors were officially sworn in to their term by special guest Installation Officer, Ambassador Eleni Kounalakis, Lieutenant Governor of California, at SAMCAR's 2019 Installation dinner and ceremony on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Pullman Hotel in Redwood City. Also honored were SAMCAR's Past Presidents, Outgoing Directors and Committee Chairs, and award winners for 2018 REALTOR® of the Year, 2018 Affiliate of the Year, 2018 Community Service Award, Homeowner Hero Awards, Government Affairs Champion, and Lifetime Achievement Award.
