On Thursday, March 19 at the 2026 Annual Meeting, SAMCAR recognized recipients of the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) Honorary Member-for-Life status, acknowledging their achievement of this prestigious membership distinction. Read more for a brief recap of the meeting, photos, and the full list of 2026 C.A.R. On Thursday, March 27 at SAMCAR's 2025 Annual Meeting, SAMCAR President Frank Vella provided an overview of association activities for the year as well as the presentation of multiple special honors. Lifetime Achievement Award winner Bobbi Decker was recognized by Elections Committee Vice Chair, Robert Pedro. Recipients of the C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life were recognized by Association Executive Alane Gilbrech, acknowledging their achievement of this prestigious membership distinction. Honorary member Tom Tornquist led the Pledge of Allegiance to open the program and honorary member Phil Houston delivered a keynote address. Also at the Annual Meeting was the presentation of "2024 by the Numbers" — an infographic annual report — an update about the REALTOR® Relief Foundation from Jessica Eva, a legislative update with SAMCAR Government Affairs Director Fernando Peña and introduction to C.A.R. Field Representative Andrew Hughan, and an MLSListings update with Jean Joh and Dave Wetzel.

On Thursday, March 28 at SAMCAR's 2024 Annual Meeting, SAMCAR President Moisés Pelayo provided an overview of association activities for the year, and recipients of the C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life were recognized by Association Executive Alane Gilbrech, acknowledging their achievement of this prestigious membership distinction. Honorary member David Cline led the Pledge of Allegiance to open the program and honorary member Josephine Moore delivered a keynote address. Also at the Annual Meeting was the presentation of "2023 by the Numbers" -- an infographic annual report -- inspirational remarks by Affiliate member Olivia Edwards, a legislative update with SAMCAR Government Affairs Director Fernando Peña, and an MLSListings update with Mark Messimer and Jesse Gutierrez.

On Wednesday, March 29 at SAMCAR's 2023 Annual Meeting, the recipients of the C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life were recognized by Association Executive Alane Gilbrech, acknowledging their achievement of this prestigious membership distinction. Honorary member Marilyn St. Germain-Hall led the Pledge of Allegiance to open the program. Also at the Annual Meeting was the presentation of "2022 by the Numbers"—an infographic annual report—a legislative update with SAMCAR Government Affairs Director Fernando Peña, introduction of the 2023-2025 Strategic Plan by President Marla Perego, and an MLSListings update with Dave Wetzel and Mark Messimer.

On Thursday, March 24 at SAMCAR's 2022 Annual Meeting, the recipients of the C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life were recognized by 2022 President Jessica Eva, acknowledging their achievement of this prestigious membership distinction.

On Friday, March 5, 2021, SAMCAR held its first virtual Annual Meeting on Zoom, with master of ceremonies 2021 President David Zigal. At the meeting, SAMCAR honored Outgoing Directors and Committee Chairs, and recipients of C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life and NAR REALTOR® Emeritus status, announced award winners for 2020 REALTOR® of the Year, 2020 Affiliate of the Year, and 2020 Community Service awards, as well as introduced the 2021 Board of Directors and Committee Chairs and acknowledged annual Corporate Sponsors for their ongoing support. Honorary Member-for-Life were recognized by 2022 President-Elect Jessica Eva, and NAR REALTOR® Emeritus recipient Sue Walsh was recognized by 2021 President David Zigal, acknowledging their achievement of these prestigious membership distinctions. On Thursday, March 5 at SAMCAR's 2020 Annual Meeting, 2020 SAMCAR President Elmer G. Martinez presented the recipients of the C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life and NAR REALTOR® Emeritus status with certificates acknowledging their achievement of these prestigious membership distinctions.

On Tuesday, February 5 at the first 2019 SAMCAR Combined Tour Meeting, SAMCAR President Jesse D. Gutierrez presented the recipients of the C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life and NAR REALTOR® Emeritus status with certificates acknowledging their achievement of these prestigious membership distinctions. Representing the group of honorees, Honorary Member Ralph Ely addressed the audience about the changes in the real estate industry that many of the members receiving Honorary and Emeritus status have experienced in their careers, and the honor of being recognized with these special REALTOR® member statuses.
