The primary funding sources for SAMCAR Foundation grants are voluntary contributions made by SAMCAR members with their dues payments and fundraising from annual events, or in the case of 2020, our first-ever virtual fundraising campaign.
In 2020, members contributed a total of $20,000 with dues payments, in addition to over $26,000 raised through the online fundraising campaign "SAMCAR Gives Back", over $10,000 at a virtual Holiday Auction in December, and more than $48,000 in direct pass-through donations by SAMCAR members, including a wildfire relief fundraising effort led by Half Moon Bay REALTORS®.
The SAMCAR Foundation Council, Trustees and SAMCAR staff thank members for their generous support and the impact these charitable contributions have in our communities toward the SAMCAR Foundation's vision of providing a roof over every head in San Mateo County.
Grant applications are considered by the Foundation Council each quarter.
