Business Licenses and Home Offices in Hillsborough
Business Licenses
The Hillsborough Municipal Code provides for the annual registration and licensing of Realtors doing business in the Town of Hillsborough. The Annual Realtor Business Licensing Registration must be completed with an additional $25.00 payment for each designated Realtor. As well, a broker must complete and file a Real Estate Broker Business License Application with an additional $100 processing fee prior to commencing business.
Home Offices
A home business is one that is conducted from a resident's dwelling in the town and provides goods or services for compensation, including but not limited to, the services performed by sales representatives; provided, however, that a home business does not include activities conducted in the resident's dwelling that are merely incidental to a business that is conducted outside of town. Home Business Permit annual fee is $125, due upon receipt of application. The business license year begins on July 1, 2008 and ends June 30, 2009.
