Remember to Obey City Sign Ordinances
SAMCAR was recently alerted, again, to complaints regarding REALTORS®' signs placed in violation of Municipal Code.
REALTORS® must be diligent about obeying local city ordinances and rules about placement of open house and directional signs.
The best way to make sure you are obeying city ordinances is to consult the sign ordinance for each city where you have listings.
You can find information about city sign ordinances on the SAMCAR website in a couple ways:

From the homepage, use the site search box and type in "sign ordinances." Find the City and click "Read More."

Visit the "Guide to Cities" and find the city your listing is in and locate the post about the sign ordinance for that city.
The SAMCAR Government Affairs department makes every effort to post the most up-to-date and accurate city ordinance information to the SAMCAR website, but it is always best to consult the city directly for the most current information. For phone numbers for each city, visit the "Guide to Cities" under Government Affairs, each city's main page has important phone numbers for departments in the city.
